Luxury Vinyl Plank in Deer Park

Luxury vinyl plank gives you the look of wood with a surface that shrugs off spills, pets and humid summers. Our small crew measures, preps and installs your floor ourselves, so the people who plan the job are the same ones who finish it.

When Vinyl Plank Is the Right Floor

Luxury vinyl plank, often called LVP, is a layered floor with a rigid or flexible core, a printed design layer and a clear wear layer on top. Most planks click together and float over the subfloor, which means no glue across the whole room and a quicker install than tile or hardwood.

It suits kitchens, living areas, laundry rooms and bedrooms where you want something warm underfoot that cleans with a damp mop. Most homes around here sit on concrete slabs, and vinyl plank handles a slab well as long as moisture and flatness are checked first.

If you are torn between plank and another option, we will tell you plainly. Sometimes laminate flooring or tile flooring is the better fit for a room, and we would rather you get the right floor than the one we suggested first.

What Your Vinyl Plank Install Includes

Measuring and layout

We measure every room and plan which way the planks run, where seams land and how transitions meet other floors. Good layout keeps narrow slivers away from doorways.

Taking out what is there now

Old carpet comes up with its padding and the strips nailed along the walls, or we lift the worn sheet vinyl, and all of it leaves in our truck. Tile removal is a bigger, dustier job, so we plan and price it on its own.

Slab and subfloor prep

We check the concrete or wood subfloor for moisture and high or low spots, then grind or patch until it is flat enough for the planks to lock tight. This step decides how long your floor lasts.

Underlayment and installation

We lay the right underlayment or moisture barrier for your planks and click the floor together with staggered seams and proper expansion gaps at the walls.

Trim, transitions and cleanup

Baseboard or quarter round goes back on, transitions are fitted at doorways, and we vacuum and wipe the floor before we leave.

Signs Your Home Is Ready for Vinyl Plank

Carpet that holds stains and smells
Pets, kids and muggy weather wear carpet out fast. Plank wipes clean and does not trap odors.
Swollen or peeling laminate
Older laminate edges puff up when water sits on them. A water-resistant plank floor is a common replacement in kitchens and baths.
Cracked or dated tile
Loose or cracked tile and stained grout can be replaced with plank that feels softer and warmer underfoot.
You want one floor through several rooms
Vinyl plank runs from the living room into the kitchen and hall without changing material, which makes a home feel more open.

How the Job Runs, Start to Finish

  1. 1

    A phone call to start

You tell us about the rooms, what is down now and what you are hoping for. We set a time to come measure and look at the subfloor.

  2. 2

    Measure and look underneath

We measure, check moisture and flatness, and walk you through what the prep will involve so nothing comes as a surprise later.

  3. 3

    Install with the same crew

The people you met at the measure are the people who show up to do the work. We move furniture as agreed, protect nearby rooms, and most homes are done in one to a few days depending on size and prep.

  4. 4

    Walkthrough together

Before we pack up, we walk the floor with you, check every transition and answer care questions. Your install is covered by our 1-year workmanship warranty.

What Shapes the Cost of Vinyl Plank

Every vinyl plank job is priced from your rooms and your subfloor, not from a flat number. We explain each part of the price when you call and again after we measure, so you know what you are paying for.

Square footage and room shape
More floor means more material and labor. Lots of corners, closets and angled walls add cutting time.
The plank you choose
Wear layer thickness, core type and the look of the plank all change the material cost.
Slab condition
A flat, dry slab is quick to prep. Dips, cracks or moisture issues need grinding, patching or a barrier before installation.
What comes out first
Pulling carpet is simple. Removing glued vinyl or tile takes longer and adds disposal.
Trim and stairs
New baseboards, quarter round and transitions add to the job. If stairs are part of the plan, our stair flooring work is priced step by step.

Vinyl Plank Questions We Hear Often

Is luxury vinyl plank really waterproof?
Most rigid-core planks are water-resistant on the surface, so spills and pet accidents wipe up without damage. Water that gets under the floor from a leak or flooding is a different story. We help you choose a plank and underlayment suited to the room.
Can you install vinyl plank over my existing tile?
Sometimes. If the tile is solid, flat and the added height works with your doors and transitions, plank can go over it. We check this at the measure and give you a straight answer.
Will the same people come back each day?
Yes. We are a small team and keep the same crew on your floor from the first day to the last. You will not be explaining your house to someone new halfway through.
How long has your company been doing this?
We have been in business 25+ years, and we are insured. Vinyl plank has changed a lot in that time, but the prep that makes it last has not.
What if a plank shifts or a seam opens after you leave?
All of our installations come with a 1-year workmanship warranty. If something we installed is not right, call us and we will come look at it.
Should I pick vinyl plank or luxury vinyl tile?
Plank looks like wood boards, while luxury vinyl tile looks like stone or ceramic. They are built similarly, so the choice is mostly about the look you want in each room.
