ServicesCarpet Installation
Carpet Installation in Deer Park
Soft, quiet floors for bedrooms, living rooms and family spaces, installed by a small crew that stays with your job from the first measurement to the last trimmed edge. You get a tight, flat carpet with seams placed where you won't notice them.

Carpet That Lies Flat and Stays That Way
Most carpet problems people blame on the carpet are really installation problems. Ripples show up because the carpet was knee-kicked instead of power-stretched. Seams split because they landed in a walkway. Edges fray because the tack strip was old or set too close to the wall. We do the parts you never see with the same care as the parts you do.
We've been in business 25+ years, and we still keep the work in a few hands. The person who measures your rooms helps plan the seams, and the same crew lays the pad, stretches the carpet and walks the finished floor with you. You won't be explaining your house to a new face every visit.
Carpet is the right call when you want warmth underfoot, less noise between rooms and a softer place for kids to sit on the floor. If you need something that shrugs off water, we'll tell you so and talk about luxury vinyl plank or tile flooring instead.
What Your Carpet Installation Includes
- Measuring and a seam plan
- We measure every room and sketch where the seams will fall before you choose a carpet. Carpet usually comes in 12-foot-wide rolls, so the layout decides both how much you buy and where the joins end up.
- Old flooring removal
- We pull up the old carpet and pad, take out staples, and haul it away. If there's glued-down flooring underneath, we'll tell you what it takes to deal with it before work starts.
- Tack strip and floor prep
- Worn or loose tack strip gets replaced and set at the right gap from the wall. On concrete slabs we check for cracks, high spots and dampness so the new pad isn't sitting on a problem.
- New pad matched to the room
- Pad matters as much as the carpet. We'll explain density and thickness in plain terms and recommend what fits the traffic in each room.
- Power stretching and seaming
- We use a power stretcher, not just a knee kicker, so the carpet is pulled tight wall to wall. Seams are hot-melt bonded and laid with the pile running the same direction.
- Transitions and cleanup
- We finish doorways where carpet meets tile, vinyl or wood with the right transition strip, then vacuum and clear out every scrap.
Signs It's Time for New Carpet
Gray traffic lanes
When the path from the hallway to the couch stays flat and dull even after a deep cleaning, the fibers are worn out, not dirty.
Ripples and wrinkles
Bumps you can see or trip over mean the carpet has come loose from the stretch. Re-stretching can help newer carpet, but older carpet often just ripples again.
Odors that come back
Pet accidents and spills soak through to the pad. If a smell returns every humid afternoon, the pad underneath is holding it and needs to go.
Seams pulling apart
A visible line or fraying edge at a seam tends to get worse with every pass of the vacuum.
Crunchy or flat pad
If the floor feels hard or makes a crinkling sound underfoot, the pad has broken down and the carpet above it will wear faster.
How Your Carpet Job Runs
- 1
A phone conversation first
You tell us which rooms, who uses them and what's bothering you about the current floor. We set a time to come measure and bring samples to look at in your own light.
- 2
Measure and plan
We measure, check the subfloor, and show you the seam layout. You get your quote by phone with the carpet, pad, removal and prep listed separately so nothing is lumped together.
- 3
Install day
The crew protects the paths in and out, removes the old flooring, sets tack strip and pad, then seams and power-stretches the new carpet. Most homes with a few rooms are finished in a day.
- 4
Trim, transition and walk-through
We trim the edges, tuck them cleanly, fit transitions and check doors that may need a small trim for the new height. Then we walk every room with you before we leave.

What Moves the Price of Carpet Installation
Your price depends on the rooms you have and the carpet you choose, and we'd rather explain that than give you a number before we've seen the floor. Here is what makes the biggest difference.
- Room size and roll width
- Rooms wider than 12 feet need a seam, and odd shapes create more waste. A good seam plan keeps the amount you buy reasonable.
- Carpet and pad choice
- Fiber type, pile height and density all change the cost, and so does the pad you pair with it.
- Removal and floor prep
- Pulling up carpet is simple. Removing glued-down flooring, grinding high spots or patching slab cracks adds time.
- Stairs and closets
- Each step is cut and fitted by hand, so stairs take far longer per foot than open floor. Our stair flooring page covers that work in detail.
- Furniture
- Rooms that are cleared before install day go faster. We'll talk on the phone about what we can move and what to box up yourself.
Carpet Installation Questions
Something not covered here? (346) 639-4019
How long will I be without my rooms?
For a few bedrooms or a living area, plan on a single day. You can walk on the carpet as soon as we finish. Bigger jobs or rooms that need slab repair may run into a second day, and we'll tell you that during the measure.
Is carpet a good idea on a concrete slab here?
Yes, as long as the slab is dry and flat. Houses on slab in a humid Gulf Coast climate can pick up moisture, so we check before we install and recommend a pad that handles it. If we find a real moisture problem, we'll say so rather than cover it up.
What warranty comes with the installation?
Every installation we do comes with a 1-year workmanship warranty. If a seam opens or the carpet loosens because of how we put it in, we come back and make it right. The carpet itself is covered by its manufacturer's own terms.
Who will actually be in my home?
The same small crew from start to finish, usually the people you met at the measure. Our business is insured, and we'll tell you who's coming before install day so there are no strangers at the door.
Do I need to move everything out first?
Please clear small items, electronics and anything breakable, and empty closets we're carpeting. We'll go over the larger pieces with you on the phone so install day starts smoothly.

Ready for a Softer Floor?
Tell us about the rooms you want carpeted, and we'll set up a visit to measure and plan the seams. You'll know the crew, the layout and the quote before anything gets pulled up.
